Butoh - Art of body language

It was an honour to work along with Syv Bruzeau, a Butoh dancer/instructor. Whenever she makes her moves, it feels like her body takes control over her mind. The movement that filled with a freedom of self-expression. Miraculously, this dance could heals and improves life too. This is one art I believed, in order to understand it, one has to expereince by doing it.

A little background on Butoh dancing: Butoh is the collective name for a diverse range of activities, techniques and motivations for dance, performance, or movement inspired by the Ankoku-Butoh movement. It typically involves playful and grotesque imagery, taboo topics, extreme or absurd environments, and is traditionally performed in white body makeup with slow hyper-controlled motion, with or without an audience. There is no set style, and it may be purely conceptual with no movement at all. Its origins have been attributed to Japanese dance legends Tatsumi Hijikata and Kazuo Ohno.
